Using the Guardian Service Processor (GSP)
GSP Modes
AC, AR, DC, IT, RP, SDM, SO, XD, XU
• GSP PORT CONFIGURATION- Configure LAN, remote/modem, and local ports
CA, EL, ER, LC, PG
• CONNECTIONS- Examine and make connections or change mode
CO, CSP, DI, SE, TE, WHO, VFP
Returning from GSP Command Mode to Console mode
The GSP command CO returns the GSP from Command mode to Console mode. The port
will return to the interface that was active when the [ctrl] B was entered. If the MPE
Operating System is booted you will return to the ldev 20 logon session.
Gaining write access: When the GSP is returned to Console mode, only one user can
provide input at any given time. To take control of the console, type [CTRL]-e c f (not
CTRL-e CTRL-c CTRL-f). After this is done, other users will see the following prompt if
they try to enter commands:
[Read only - use ^Ecf for console write access.]
