Copy the Sample File
Copy the Sample File
Use NMSAMP1.PUB.SYS as a template for first time configuration. This
file is supplied with the MPE/iX operating system. Do not modify
NMSAMP1.PUB.SYS. Instead, copy the sample configuration file into
NMCONFIG.PUB.SYS and then modify the file as necessary.
To copy NMSAMP1.PUB.SYS into NMCONFIG.PUB.SYS, enter these
commands at the MPE/iX prompt (:):
HELLO MANAGER.SYS,PUB
FILE CONFIG=NMCONFIG.PUB.SYS;DEV=1
FCOPY FROM=NMSAMP1.PUB.SYS;TO=*CONFIG;NEW
NOTE “DEV=1” must be specified in the FILE equation to specify that the
NMCONFIG.PUB.SYS file is to be stored to system disk 1.
