B.4.3 Loading a Cartridge
The following are more detailed steps for loading a cartridge
(Figure B-3):
1. When the green indicator is on steady and the beep
sound has occurred, open the Cartridge Insert/Release
handle by lifting the handle in the center.
NOTE: If the Operate Handle indicator is blinking, close the handle
and wait for a steady lit green indication, then lift the handle and insert
the cartridge.
2. Insert the cartridge.
3. Push the cartridge into the drive.
4. Push the handle closed.
NOTE: To prevent handle failures, assist the handle to the closed
position. Do not flip it.
The green indicator turns off, and the yellow indicator blinks
to show the tape is loading. When the tape is at the BOT
marker, the yellow indicator turns on steady. The tape is
now ready for use.
