Removing and Installing a Fibre Channel ServerNet Adapter
Fibre Channel ServerNet adapter. The FCSA object always displays two FCSA FSACs, regardless of
whether they are both physically present. At least one must be present to perform FCSA firmware
updates. The FCSA FSAC attributes Node Name and Port Name indicate the presence of FCSA
FSACs and attached disks. Unlike many other adapters, the ports on the FCSA are numbered from
top down when viewing the FCSA installed in a rack. Thus, FCSA FSAC 1 is attached to the upper
port (port 1), FCSA FSAC 2 is attached to the lower port (port 2).
Note: If a ServerNet switch board is not present, FCSAs will not appear in OSM.
OSM will not display FCSA attribute information until an associated disk process is configured and
started. For more information, see the Fibre Channel ServerNet Adapter Installation and Support
Guide.
