TMF Command
TMF Command
Do not use the TMF command.
UP Command
Use the UP command to perform an SCF START DISK command on a set of objects.
VOLUMES
specifies to start all volumes in either the specified segment, or all segments.
PATHS
specifies that the command affects only the selected path for each volume in either
the specified segments, or all segments.
SEGMENT
specifies the segment to be affected by the START command.
If segname is specified, only objects in that segment are affected.
If * is used, all objects in all segments are affected.
If this parameter is not included, the objects in the current segment are affected.
Examples
UP VOLUMES
UP VOLUMES, SEGMENT *
UP PATHS -MB, SEGMENT ONE
UP { VOLUMES | PATHS { -P|-B|-M|-MB|PRIMARY|MIRROR } }
[ , SEGMENT { segname | * } ]
-P start the primary path
-B start the backup path
-M start the mirror path
-MB start the mirror backup path
PRIMARY start both the primary and backup path in a single operation
MIRROR start both the mirror and mirror backup path in a single
operation
ALL start all four paths in a single operation. Specifying ALL is
not equivalent to specifying VOLUMES.
