Testing the ATP6100 Configuration for SWCI
Testing the ATP6100 Configuration for SWCI
Use this procedure to test whether the ATP6100 line is configured correctly and the
SWAN concentrators are communicating with each switch module.
1. On one switch module, set the key switch on the switch controller card (SCC) to the
REMOTE (R) position. Refer to SCC Key Switch
on page 4-4 for more
information.
2. At a TACL prompt, start SWCI. For example:
> SWCI $SWITCH1.#PRI
3. At the SWCI prompt, issue a STATUS command.
SWCI $SWITCH1.#PRI> STATUS
If the STATUS command returns an error, check the configuration of the ATP6100
line and reconfigure it if needed.
4. Issue the SWCI SWITCH command to the switch module.
If the command is successful, the fiber-optic paths switch.
If the command is not successful:
1. Ensure that the key switch on the SCC at the remote site is turned to
REMOTE (R).
2. Retry the command.
3. If the command fails again, check the configuration of the switch module
device.
4. If the problem continues, contact professional services.
5. Repeat the above steps for the other switch modules.
