Manual

At
first, a default graph of the top 5 objects for 10 intervals is displayed. If
the graph is left as is, it displays the new data as it becomes available when
not paused.
o If top N is selected,
Then, the graph is completely redisplayed as the new data is
collected. This is due to the fact that the top N reported for a new
interval may be (and in many instances are) different from the top N
of the previous interval.
o If one or more objects are selected from the “Only” list (can be from the
currently displayed list, or from all the objects in the trend database),
Then, the graph shows zero value for new intervals for any of the
selected objects that are no longer in the top N. This may, in some
instances, show zero value for all selected objects.
The following actions/events place the graph in a “Paused” state:
o User clicks on the Pause button (displayed only when the graph is not in
a “Paused” state).
o User clicks on the “Prev” button.
o User sets the scale to “Displayed” which will scale the y-axis to the
currently displayed objects.
The following events place the graph in an “Auto-refresh” state:
o When Trend Graph window is first opened.
o User clicks on the Resume button (displayed only when the graph is in a
“Paused” state).
o User clicks on the “Select…” button to select one or more objects. If the
graph was in an “Auto-Refresh” mode, then, that mode is restored, but
the graph is exclusive only to selected objects.
o User clicks on the “Next” button until the graph reaches the current
interval.
Initial Graph:
A selected entity may have more than one metric. The initial trend graph shows
the first metric for the top 5 objects in the latest interval, with 10 intervals per
page. Y-axis is set to scale to the displayed data with 0 floor value. The graph
shows the latest 10 intervals and refreshes itself every 30 seconds by default.
