6.3. PE Refresh

Performance Essentials provides a refresh mechanism for the user to be able to

refresh SIM and Performance Essentials with updated NonStop Cluster Configurations.

To access this tool, use the HP SIM main menu by following Configure -> NonStop

Cluster Essentials -> Refresh PE… as depicted in the figure below.

Using the Performance Essentials Refresh will bring up a popup window which will

specify that the refresh is taking place and when it has finished. This should only

take a couple of minutes.

The Performance Essentials Refresh should be used for the following situations:

 If you are NOT using the default port numbers 8888 for your NonStop and/or

443 for you Linux systems. Set the ipaddresses and port numbers for all

systems in the Ports.properties file found in (C:\Program Files\HP\Systems

Insight Manager\config\performance) and then use this tool to refresh

Performance Essentials.

 If you are reconfiguring a cluster in Cluster Essentials. After you have made

your modification (add node, delete node, or create new cluster with nodes

from another cluster), use this tool to refresh Performance Essentials.
