2. Set the compact or no compact option by clicking on Compact.
3. Enable translation to EBCDIC by clicking on EBCDICin.
4. Enter the maximum length of input records, in bytes, in the RECin
field.
5. To open an input field in shared exclusion mode, click on Share.
6. Set the trim-character option by clicking on Trim; then enter the trim
character in the Trim field.
7. Set the variable length option by clicking on Varin.
Specify Key Sequence Options
Specify key sequence options in the Key Sequence Option pane, as shown
in Figure 8-17. These options apply only to key sequenced objects.

To specify key sequence options
1. Set the load-partition option by clicking on PartOnly.
2. Enter the name of the volume for the partition in the Partof field.
3. To indicate that input data is already sorted, click on Sorted.
4. Enter the maximum number of input records in the Max Num-records
field.
5. Enter the name of the field used for sorting in the Scratch File field.
6. Enter the minimum percentage of space to be left in data blocks in the
Dslack field.
