1. Click on Key.
2. Choose the order of the key by clicking on Ascending or Descending.
Note: Key-sequence numbers are generated automatically as you add
new columns. Refer to “Change Column Attributes” to change the key
sequence.
Save the Column
To save the new column, click on Add. The column and its attributes are
displayed in the Column pane.
Change Column Attributes
After you have added a column, you can change any attribute of the
column in the Edit Columns window.
1. In the Columns pane, click on the name of the column in the list in the
Column Name field. The attributes of the column are displayed in the
Edit Columns window.
2. Change any of the column attributes.
3. Click on Change to display the column’s new attributes in the Column
pane.
Note: If you change the primary key attribute, the key-sequence
number of all primary-key columns will be changed.
4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 to change the attributes of the any other
columns in the new table.
5. When you are finished changing column attributes, click OK. The Edit
Columns window closes and the column list appears in the Create Table
window.
Delete Columns
You can delete a column in the new table by using the Edit Columns
window.
1. From the Columns pane, click on the name of the column in the
Column Name field. The attributes of the column are displayed in the
Edit Columns window.
