Version 1.1 and later versions of the Device Monitor
Service require Device Monitor Console (v 1.1) or later.
Restrictions

The DMS must not be installed on a computer on which the SNMP Trap Service is disabled, such as on a computer used
as a management server or gateway server for network monitoring using SCOM 2012.
