Launching the HP ProLiant Integrated Management Log tasks
An HP ProLiant server can keep a record of historical hardware events using an Integrated
Management Log. Because some historical hardware events cannot be reflected to other health
collections, Health Collection logs display the state of an Integrated Management Log that has
error or warning states. These states only appear when any other health collections cannot report
the specific hardware event. The following tasks enable you to use the Task screen of the SCOM
console to view and clear Integrated Management Log records of all the target systems in the
Operations Manager domain:
HP ProLiant Integrated Management Log Export
Exports log records from the target system
HP ProLiant Integrated Management Log Clear
Exports log records and then clears them from the target system
Both tasks run remotely on the target system. Both tasks are associated with the Logs Collection,
which allows these tasks to be accessed from the Health Collection State view or Group Diagram
view.
The task results are comma-separated values (CSV format), allowing you to import the results into
Microsoft Excel.
1. From the Health Collection State view, select the collection for the target log from the list in the
Health Collection State pane.
2. In the Actions pane, under Logs Tasks, select a task (such as the HP ProLiant Integrated
Management Log Export task), or select HP ProLiant Integrated Management Log Clear to clear
the log.
The confirmation screen is displayed.
