Read Cache – Valid values are Yes or No.
Read Ahead Cache – Valid values are Yes or No.
Writeback Cache – Valid values are Yes or No.
Max Cached Transfer – Maximum size of the cached transfer in blocks.
LUN ID (HSG80 only) or Volume ID (HSV110 only) – Serial number of the
volume.
Creation Date (HSV110 only) – Date created within Storage Provisioner.
Storage Customer Volume Views
When you select the Provisioning tab and click a volume from the Volumes
Navigation pane, the volume information displayed in the Content pane represents
the volume view for the storage customer.
The Volume view information includes:
Description – Descriptive label for the type of data that is represented.
Status – Operating status of the volume; valid entries are Offline or Online.
Service Level – Defined service level for the customer.
Volume Size – Unit size in gigabytes (GB).
Backup – Indicator to create a backup of the volume.
Monthly Cost – Dollar amount.
Storage Utility – Name of the utility.
Unit Number (HSG80 only) – LUN identifier.
Presentations – Number LUNs presented.
OS Unit ID – Unique LUN ID set on all volumes created by Storage
Provisioner for host OpenVMS or Tru64 Unix® OSes only. It is unique across
all storage systems visible on the Management Appliance. The ID can be
changed manually using the
Command View EVA.
Creating Volumes
Storage Provisioner allows you to create volumes for HSG80 and HSV110 storage
systems.
To create a volume:
1. In the Provisioning tab, select a path displayed in the Hosts Navigation pane.
Your selection is highlighted, and the toolbar displays the Volume button.
