Fan

Description Spare part number

Fan (includes cable) 730792-001

Before removing the fan, follow these steps:

1. Turn o the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn

the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.

3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

4. Remove the service door (see Service door on page 45).

5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 47).

6. Remove the keyboard (see Keyboard on page 56).

7. Remove the internal base enclosure (see Internal base enclosure on page 65).

Remove the fan:

1. Loosen the two captive Phillips screws (1) that secure the fan to the base enclosure.

2. Disconnect the fan cable (2) from the system board.

3. Remove the fan (3).

Reverse this procedure to install the fan.
