Power button board for use in HP EliteBook 755 models 730822-001
Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:
1. Turn o the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Service door (see Service door on page 45)
b. Battery (see Battery on page 47)
c. Fan (see Fan on page 71)
d. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 56)
e. Base enclosure (see Internal base enclosure on page 65)
f. Heat sink (see Heat sink on page 76)
Remove the power button board:
1. Disconnect the power button board cable from the power button board (1).
2. Remove the broadhead Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screw that secures the board (2) to the top cover.
