Before removing the ngerprint reader assembly, follow these steps:
1. Turn o the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Service door (see Service door on page 45)
b. Battery (see Battery on page 47)
c. Fan (see Fan on page 71)
d. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 56)
e. Base enclosure (see Internal base enclosure on page 65)
Remove the ngerprint reader assembly:
1. Turn the computer upside down.
2. Remove plastic cover from the ngerprint reader assembly (1).
3. Slide the bracket away from the ngerprint reader board (2), and remove it.
