4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 34).
5. Remove the following components:
a. Service door (see Service door on page 35).
b. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 36)
c. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 45)
d. Top cover (see Top cover on page 50)
When replacing the system board, be sure to remove the following components from the defective system
board and install on the replacement system board:

Memory modules (see Memory modules on page 38)
●
WLAN/Bluetooth module (see WLAN/Bluetooth combo card on page 40)
●
M.2 solid-state drive (see M.2 solid-state drive on page 44)
●
Heat sink (see Heat sink assembly on page 71)
Remove the system board:
1. Position the computer upright with the front toward you.
2. Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
(1) Power connector cable
(2) Display cable
(3) Speaker cable
(4) Battery connector cable
3. Remove the 4 Phillips PM2.5×5.0 screws (1) that secure the system board to the computer.
