To run HP Battery Test:
1. Shut down the tablet.
2. Press the power button and when the Press and hold the Volume down button or the ESC key on
external Keyboard to enter Startup Menu message displays, press the volume down button.
The Startup menu is displayed.
3. Tap F2 System Diagnostics.
4. Select Component Tests, select Battery, and then ollow the on-screen instructions.

Maximizing battery discharge time
Battery discharge time varies depending on features you use while on battery power. Maximum discharge
time gradually decreases as the battery storage capacity naturally degrades.
Tips for maximizing battery discharge time:

Lower the brightness on the display.
●
Select the Power saver setting in Power Options.
Managing low battery levels
The information in this section describes the alerts and system responses set at the factory. Some low-
battery alerts and system responses can be changed using Power Options. Preferences set using Power
Options do not aect lights.
Type power options in the taskbar search box, and then select Power Options.
Identifying low battery levels
When a battery that is the sole power source for the tablet reaches a low or critical battery level, the following
behavior occurs:

The Power meter icon shows a low or critical battery notication.
If the tablet is on or in the Sleep state, the tablet remains briey in the Sleep state and then shuts down and
loses any unsaved information.
