10 Managing files
Downloading files
You can download a file from your email, the Internet, or any other location, and it will automatically
be saved to your downloads folder. Check the status of the download in the notifications area by
swiping down from the top edge of the screen.
To open the Downloads folder and access your downloaded files:
Touch All Apps , and then touch Downloads icon .
Opening files
You can open files with the app or apps they are associated with. You can open some files with more
than one app. File management apps are available for download in the Google Play store (select
devices only) .
NOTE: On select devices, you may find a different online marketplace app.
Saving files
You can use local storage, a microSD card, or online (cloud) storage to save files.
Printing files
Before you can print, you must install a printing service on your tablet. To determine what services
are currently available:
1.
Swipe down twice from the top edge, and then touch the Settings icon .
2. Under System, touch Printing.
From here you can open each available service to turn it on or off, determine which printers it makes
available, and adjust the service's settings.
NOTE: Printing steps may vary slightly, depending on the app used.
To print a file
1. Open the app for the file you want to print.
2. Open the file.
3.
Touch the Menu icon , touch the selection for printing, and then follow the on-screen
instructions to print.
