1. Remove the tape and cardboard packaging from inside and
around the printer.
2. Check the contents of the box:
a. HP Photosmart 8400 series printer
b. Print cartridge protector
c. Print cartridges
d. Photo paper storage bag
e. Paper sampler
f. USB cable
g. Power supply and power adapter
h. HP Photosmart software on CD
