HP LaserJet 42X0/43X0 Series - (Multiple Language) Stapler-Stacker Install Guide

Make sure that the jam-access door is
closed and that the stacker or stapler/stacker
output bin is in the lowest position.
Wait until READY appears on the printer
control panel display.

If your device is a stapler/stacker, make
sure that the staple cartridge (callout 1) is
installed, and that the stapler unit is snapped
into the closed position (callout 2).
Make sure that the light on the front of the
stacker or stapler/stacker is solid green. If
the light is amber, flashing, or off, see
"Understanding the accessory lights for the
stacker and stapler/stacker" in the use guide
on the CD-ROM that came with the printer.
Turn the printer power on.
To take advantage of all the stacker or
stapler/stacker functions, the printer driver on
the printer’s host computer must be
configured to recognize the stapler/stacker or
stacker. For Windows
®
, go to the printer
Properties window. On the Device Settings
tab, select the check box for the stacker or
stapler/stacker.
