HP Driver Diagnostic Printer Check Tool
The HP Driver Diagnostic Printer Check Tool is a Web-based diagnostic software that enables you to
determine whether you are using the correct and most current print driver for your
HP Color LaserJet 4700 printer. To gain access to the HP Driver Diagnostic Printer Check Tool, go
to
www.hp.com/go/drivercheck, or go to the HP Business Support Center (BSC) at www.hp.com/go/
bsc, click the self-help resources link on the left navigation bar, and then click automatic driver
checker to run the HP Driver Diagnostic Printer Check Tool.
When you run the HP Driver Diagnostic Printer Check Tool, the products that are currently installed on
your computer appear in a list. When you select the HP product that you would like to check, the
HP Driver Diagnostic Printer Check Tool gathers information about your product, drivers, and system
setup in order to diagnose your software driver configuration and check your print driver. The tool then
verifies whether you are using the latest driver, informs you if you are using an incorrect driver for your
HP product, and lets you know if an updated driver version is available for your product. If an updated
driver is available, you can download and install the latest driver version by clicking on it.
The data that the HP Driver Diagnostic Printer Check Tool gathers is stored anonymously so that HP can
analyze and continuously improve its diagnostic tools. No private data is gathered from your computer.
