3. On the rear of the open document feeder, slide a fingertip under the tab at the upper right corner
of the feed roller cover, and then grasp the tab firmly and pull forward to open the feed roller
cover and expose the upper feed rollers.
4. Using an HP paper path cleaning cloth or a clean, lint-free cloth moistened with distilled water or
clean tap water, wipe the feed rollers on both sides of the open hatch.
Wipe the rollers both from the top down and from side to side, rotating the rollers a full 360
degrees to ensure that you wipe the complete surface.
a. Wipe the three feed rollers on the rear of the open hatch which were made accessible when
you opened the feed roller cover.
