b. Close the feed roller door (pressing firmly at the top edge on both sides until the door clicks
into place), and then wipe the two rollers near the bottom on the rear of the open hatch.
c. Wipe the four rollers on the front of the open hatch.
CAUTION: Wait two minutes for the feed rollers to dry before loading documents into the
document feeder.
5. Press on both sides of the document feeder hatch at the same time to close the hatch, and then
reconnect the USB cable and power supply to the scanner.
6. Press the Power (
) button to turn on the scanner.
7. Windows: Update the scanner maintenance history.
a. Launch the HP Scanner Tools Utility, and then click the Maintenance tab.
b. Under Record Cleaning Rollers, click Record Cleaning to log this cleaning activity and
update the roller cleaning history.
