2. Use a ashlight to check for any jammed paper or foreign objects in the output tray area, and then
remove any jammed paper or foreign objects you nd.
To avoid tearing any whole sheets of paper, pull the paper with both hands gently.
To clear a paper jam from the cartridge access area
1.
Press the Cancel button ( ) to try to clear the jam automatically. If this does not work, complete the
following steps to clear the jam manually.
2. Open the cartridge access door.
3. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent.
4.
Press the Power button ( ) to turn o the printer. Then disconnect the power cord and any other
cables from the rear of the printer.
CAUTION: To avoid the risk of electrical shock, you must unplug the power cord to move the carriage
by hand and reset the paper feed mechanism.
