If the VLS
GUI
goes blank for a several minutes and then displays a “The page cannot be displayed”
message
(which is further identified as an HTTP 500 Internal Server E rror), it might be bec ause the
RAID hasdevelopedaproblem.
1. Make sure that all disks are inserted in the appliance.
2. Close t
he
browser window, and then log back on to the VLS GUI.
3. Use the
Physical Volume M anagement page to verify that all disks are functioning normally.
Unable to log on to the GUI
If youare unableto log on to theVLS GUI, it mightbe because youare using InternetExplorerand the
privacy setting is set above Medium (the GUI is a Web-enabled program that requires the use of cookies;
setting the privacy option higher than Medium prevents the program from working correctly) , or it might
be
because you are entering the name and password incorrectly.
1. Make su re that you are entering the name and password correctly; they are case-sensitive.
The GUI uses the following defaults for the name and password:
Name: administrator
Password: admin
2. If youare abletolog on,but then areloggedoff unexpectedly,makesurethatyou arethe only
person accessing the VLS GUI.
