Additionally, FSE extends each of these monitoring commands with the --detail option, which has two
benefits:
It causes the monitoring commands to format their output in a different way, where each retrieved
parameter of the queried entity is displayed in a separate line in the form of ParameterName:
ParameterValue. Multiple entities of the same type are displayed one after another.
This kind of command output is suitable for parsing within scripts and helps automate administrative
FSE tasks.
With most monitoring commands, it reports additional entity details, such as low-level information, ID
strings, serial numbers, usage statistics, and so on.
NOTE: You can only use the --detail option in combination with the --list option.
For explanation of the parameters retrieved using the --detail option, see the corresponding command
descriptions in the FSE Command-Line Reference.
The next section provides examples of command outputs generated with the different FSE commands using
the --detail option.
