Option 1: Connect to a dedicated HBA (all HP ProLiant servers and all non-HP
servers)
The following instructions are valid ONLY IF you have purchased and installed an additional HBA.
Always refer to http://www.hp.com/go/connect BEFORE installing your tape drive.
IMPORTANT:
A SAS cable for connection to a dedicated HBA is supplied with the tape drive. This is a split cable,
but the second branch is not required. Do NOT remove the tie wrap and cover on the spare connector.
1. If necessary, install a new HBA. Follow the instructions supplied with the HBA to install it and its
driver.
2. Connect the SAS cable to the dedicated HBA.
