Preparing the Host System

Configuration Guide
Installing the Client
NOTE: You must have the SNMP service installed on your client computer before the
installation.
1. Insert the Solution Software CD-ROM into a computer running Windows 2000 or
Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 4 or later.
2. Using Microsoft Windows Explorer, go to the SWCC directory on the CD-ROM
and double-click
setup.exe. The SWCC Setup window will appear.
3. Select HSG80 Controller for ACS85 new and click Next. Follow the instructions
on the screen.
Installing Agent
1. Insert the Solution Software CD-ROM into the host computer.
2. Type one of the following commands at the command prompt, depending on your
operating system version.
For Tru64 UNIX Version 4.0x, type:
# mount -r -t cdfs -o rrip /dev/rz6c /mnt
Substitute for rz6c, if necessary, for your CD-ROM.
For Tru64 UNIX Version 5.1x, type:
# mount -r -t cdfs -o rrip /dev/disk/cdrom0c /mnt
Substitute for cdrom0c, if necessary, for your CD-ROM.
3. Change directories on the CD-ROM by typing:
# cd /mnt/agent
4. To run the installation program, type the following at the command prompt:
# setld -l . ( -l is a lowercase L)
You are asked if you want to install the listed subsets.
5. Enter the corresponding number of the software and then press RETURN.
6. Select option y, and then press RETURN.
7. Follow the instructions on the screen.
