Upgrading the Agent and ACS on Standalone Servers
1. For any Tru64 UNIX version supported, stop the Agent by using the following
steps:
a. Stop I/O to your FC drives.
b. Unmount your FC drives using the umount command.
c. Stop the Agent by typing the following commands:
# cd /usr/opt/SWCCXXX/scripts
# execute swcc_config
d. From the SWCC Agent Configuration Utility choose 7) to disable the Agent
(
Steamd)
2. To delete the Agent configuration files, type the following:
# setld -d SWCCXXX
At the prompt:
Answer Y - Your configuration files will be deleted.
Answer N - The old configuration files will be kept.
3. To install the new Agent, follow the steps listed in"Installing Agent" above.
NOTE: If in a Cluster, for Version 8.7, the Agent may be controlled by caa daemon.
4. Stop the SWCC Client from running on your Windows Client machine.
a. Remove the SWCC Client from the Windows Client machine using:
Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
b. Remove all entries associated with SWCC.
5. To install the new Client, follow the steps listed in"Installing the Client" above.
6. Upgrade your ACS to Version 8.7.
7. Upgrade switch firmware as required.
8. Remount your FC drives or reconfigure your storage as required.
To rescan the bus on Tru64 Version 5.x systems, type the following:
# hwmgr -scan scsi
# dsfmgr -K
# hwmgr -v dev
