Figure 5–3 shows a controller pair with failover cabling showing one HBA per server
with HSG80 controller in transparent failover mode.

Configuring a Controller Pair Using CLI
To configure a controller pair using CLI involves the following processes:
• Configure Controller Settings.
• Restart the Controller.
• Set Time and Verify All Commands.
• Plug in the FC Cable and Verify Connections.
• Repeat Procedure for Each Host Adapter.
• Verify Installation.
1. Enter a SHOW THIS command to verify the node ID:
