SWCC Agent in TruCluster Environment
This appendix describes how to set up two different versions of SWCC Agent on
TruClusters:
• Tru64 UNIX Version 4.0G
• Tru64 UNIX Version 5.X
SWCC Overview
The SWCC is a graphical user interface (GUI) for managing StorageWorks Redundant
Array of Independent Disks (RAID) array products from a client (console) running on
Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 with Service pack 4 or later, or Windows 2000. With
SWCC you can configure virtual disks, receive notification of events, and monitor
your storage systems.
The SWCC consists of a client and an agent. The client GUI runs on Windows NT 4.0
or Windows 2000 and provides an easy method of configuring, operating, monitoring,
and troubleshooting your storage subsystem.
The agent is a companion program that is installed on one of the supported operating
systems, in this case, Tru64 UNIX, to which a controller is connected. The agent lets
the client communicate with the storage system over a TCP/IP network.
