• If a controller pair is in transparent failover mode and port 1 and port 2 are on the
same link (that is, all ports are on the same loop or fabric), each adapter will have
two connections, as shown in Figure 1–10.
• If a controller pair is in multiple-bus failover mode, each adapter has two
connections, as shown in Figure 1–11.
