Battery connector cable
The battery connector cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 826399-001.
Before removing the battery connector cable, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 33).
5. Remove the following components:
a. Service door (see Service door on page 34).
b. Hard drive (Hard drive on page 35)
c. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 42)
d. Top cover (see Top cover on page 47)
Remove the battery connector cable:
1. Disconnect the battery connector cable from the system board (1).
2. Remove the cable from the clip in the computer (2).
3. Remove the 2 Phillips PM2.5×5.0 screws that secure the battery connector cable to the computer (3).
4. Remove the battery connector cable from the computer (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the battery connector cable.
