Restrictions and cautions
A running VCE/VFE server must support hardware virtualization, such as Intel-VT or AMD-V.
HP 5900v must work with HP IMC and HP 5900 to provide a complete EVB solution.
All the NICs of servers to be added to HP 5900v must be the same type.
All virtual machines must be on the HP 5900v VDS before they can be migrated.
The VDSs and port groups of HP 5900v must be created, modified, or removed on HP 5900v
service management interfaces. Otherwise data will not be synchronized.
One host can only be managed by one VCE.
Install VCE by following the installation guide. Don’t try to clone a VCE.
A host can be added to only one VDS, and a maximum of eight uplink physical ports on the
host can be added.
Before you modify the VCE IP and vCenter Server IP, you must clear the created VDS.
After you modify the IMC IP, you must reconfigure VSI Type for all port groups.
