Area Items
Basic Information
• Name—Enter the VSI type name. For easy management, you
can set the VSI type name to be the same as the network name.
• Network—Select the network to be associated with the VSI type.
In this example, select the network (VLAN100) created for mail
service.
• Description—Enter a VSI description for management purposes.
Service Unit List
Select types of QoS actions you want to apply to the VSI.
Parameter Settings
Configure QoS settings for the VSI type. A setting takes effect only if
you have selected the QoS action type that uses the setting.
To identify the parameters required for a QoS action type, hover
over the action type in the Service Unit List. IMC will display a green
check sign (
9
) transiently in front of each parameter required for the
action type.
IMPORTANT:
These QoS settings will be applied to the VSIs created on the
physical access switch for VMs. When you set the filtering direction,
select INBOUND to apply the QoS settings to the traffic from the VM
server to the client. Select OUTBOUND to apply the QoS settings to
traffic from the client to the VM server.
