Verifying the VMware plug-in installation

1. On the VMware vSphere Client, select the newly-installed VCE HP 5900v from the left navigation

tree. Then select Power on the virtual machine in the Basic Tasks area to start the VCE.

NOTE:

HP 5900v is the name that you specified for the VCE, as shown in Figure 5.

2. Restart the VMware vSphere Client, and then log in to the vCenter Server.

3. Click Datacenter from the left navigation tree and verify that HP VDS HP 5900v tab appears in the

tab column. If HP VDS HP 5900v appears in the tab column, you can configure and manage the

virtual switch.
