Solution
To resolve the problem:
1. Verify that the VCE has been disconnected from the vCenter Server.
2. If it has not been disconnected from the vCenter Server, click Disconnect. The icon is displayed.
3. Click the Delete icon for the target vCenter Server connection.
4. If the problem persists, contact HP Support.
Failure to obtain the MAC address of the host
where the VCE resides
Symptom
Change the vCenter Server IP address of the host on the global configuration page, and connect to the
vCenter Server again. The system displays an error message: "No host MAC address.".
Solution
To resolve the problem:
1. Add the ESXi host installed with VCE to the new vCenter Server.
2. Disconnect the vCenter Server, and connect it again on the global configuration page.
3. If the problem persists, contact HP Support.
Failure to connect the VCE to the vCenter Server
after the vCenter Server is reinstalled
Symptom
1. Reinstall the vCenter Server without deleting the vCenter Server information on the VCE global
configuration page.
2. Configure the vCenter Server with the same IP address, username, and password as you
configured before.
3. Connect the VCE to the vCenter Server on the VCE global configuration page.
The system displays an error message: "Failed to connect the vCenter Server. Please verify vCenter
Server configurations.".
Solution
To resolve the problem, open the VCE console and perform the following steps:
