About HP VMA Utilities
The HP VMA Utilities are tools designed to enable you to monitor the performance
of HP VMA Arrays connected to HP VMA SAN Gateway.
Using the HP VMA Utilities, you may retrieve detailed information about the HP
VMA Array and data transfer counts that enable you to configure the system for
optimal performance.
Running the HP VMA Utilities
As with any command that modifies the configuration of the HP VMA system, HP
VMA Utilities commands must be issued as the
root user on a Linux computer or
as an
Administrator on a Windows computer.
In each HP VMA Utilities command, specify the optional device index
(
[<device_index>]) to list the information for a particular HP VMA Array. If
you do not specify an individual device, the command lists the information for all
HP VMA Arrays found.
