Component Description
(1) esc key
NOTE: Windows models only.
Displays system information when pressed in combination with the
fn key.
(2) fn key Executes frequently used system functions when pressed in
combination with a function key, the num lk key, the esc key, or the
b key.
(3) Windows key
NOTE: Windows 10 models only.
Opens the Start menu.
NOTE: Pressing the Windows key again will close the Start menu.
(3) Windows button
NOTE: Windows 8 and Windows 7 models
only.
Windows 8:
Returns you to the Start screen from an open app or the Windows
desktop.
NOTE: Pressing the Windows button again will return you to the
previous screen.
Windows 7:
Displays the Windows Start menu.
(4) Function keys Execute frequently used system functions when pressed in
combination with the fn key.
(5) num lk key Windows 10 and Windows 8:
Turns the embedded numeric keypad on and off when pressed in
combination with the fn key. Alternates between the navigational
and numeric functions on the integrated numeric keypad.
Windows 7 and Linux:
Alternates between the navigational and numeric functions on the
integrated numeric keypad.
(6) Integrated numeric keypad When num lk has been enabled, it can be used like an external
numeric keypad.
