TCP Idle Timeout
The TCP Idle Timeout option configures the amount of time a TCP/IP connection to the device remains open. This can prevent the
need to physically go to the device when you have problem jobs or other hung connections. After the TCP Idle Timeout has expired,
the idle connection will be closed to allow for a new connection to your device. All devices covered in this document support the
TCP Idle Timeout option. To set the HTTP Idle Timeout option:
Click TCP Idle Timeout (Figure 26).
Figure 27: The TCP Idle Timeout option.
In the input field, type a reasonable number of seconds (5 to 60) for the device to wait on an idle connection before moving on. If
you spool large documents on a regular basis you will want to set this on the higher end. The default setting is 15.
Web Services Print
This option enables or disables the Microsoft Services for Devices WSD Print services supported on the HP Jetdirect Print Server.
Click to select Web Services Print (Figure 28) and select Disabled.
