CAUTION: The engine assembly is heavy and requires four people to lift.
NOTE: The installation of the tray heater in the 2000-sheet HCI and dual cassette feeder (DCF) are similar.

Power down and unplug the MFP.
CAUTION: Unplugging the device is MUST because the tray heaters are ALWAYS energized if the power cord is plugged in and the tray
heater switch is ON.

Unpack the tray heater.
❑
Remove tray 2 and 3 from the device.
❑
Note the cable connector on the tray heater.
❑
Note the tabs on the rear of the tray heater.
❑
Connect the cable from the tray heater to the connector on the rear wall of the MFP.
❑
Insert the tabs on the rear of the tray heater into slots in the rear wall of the MFP.
❑
Locate the tray heater power switch in the rear of the tray opening.
❑
Turn the switch ON to apply power to the tray heater(s).
❑
Reinstall trays 2 and 3 into the device.
❑
Reinstall trays 2 and 3 in to the device.
❑
Plug the MFP into the power outlet and power the device on.
