Power button board

Power button board (includes cable and double-sided adhesive) 807528-001
Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1. Turn o the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation,
turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the base enclosure (see Keyboard/top cover on page 28).
5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 33).
6. Disconnect the WLAN module antenna cables from the WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 37).
7. Remove the system board (see System board on page 40).
8. Remove the display assembly (see Display assembly on page 48).
Remove the power button board:
1. Remove the Phillips PM2.5×4.4 screw (1) that secures the power button board to the base enclosure.
2. Release the power button board by “toeing” the front edge (2) up and forward.
3. Remove the power button board (3) by sliding it up and forward at an angle.
Reverse this procedure to install the power connector cable.
