Changing pool threshold
Use the following procedure to change the pool threshold. Prevent the pool from reaching full
capacity by monitoring the pool usage rate.
CAUTION: For example, when the actual pool usage rate is 50.1%, you round the value down
to the closest integer 50, and 50% is shown in the Edit Pools window. If you set 50% as the pool
threshold, even though the value shown on the window does not exceed the threshold, the excessive
pool usage in SIM and SNMP is reported.
1. In the Storage System tree, select Pools.
2. From the list, click the pool with the threshold that you want to change.
3. Click More Actions > Edit Pools.
4. In the Edit Pools window, check the Warning Threshold, and click Finish:
For Warning Threshold, type a new threshold. The range is shown below the text box.
5. In the Confirm window, complete the following and then click Apply.
For Task Name, type a name for the task.
Character limit: 32
Allowable characters and symbols: All alphanumeric except \ / : , ; * ? " < > |
Default: date-task name
For Go to tasks window for status, select to open the Tasks window.
The pool threshold is changed.
