Switching off the power supply while you are storing snapshot data by consistency group and the
status of all the pairs in the consistency group have not changed completely does not resume the
storing of snapshot data. Switching on the power supply does not guarantee a status change for
some pairs.
If information in shared memory is lost after switching off the power supply
The storage system has a battery used to maintain the information in shared memory. However,
when a certain amount of time elapses after the breaker is turned off, the battery dies and the
information in the shared memory is lost. If this occurs, the pools and pairs must be recreated after
the switch-on.
For information about the amount of time before the information in the shared memory is lost when
the breaker is turned off, contact HP Technical Support.
