Purpose of this guide
Use this guide to complete installation of HP printers and ensure the printer is prepared to support the
customer’s needs..
HP requires the site installation technician checklists to ensure the installation is successful and/or any issues are
escalated to the proper support level..
For the purpose of this guide, the following terms are explained:.
● Staging: All work performed to prepare the printer for deployment to the customer site. This includes: basic
unpacking, inspection, FW upgrade, network
conguration, and repacking for delivery to customer site.
● On-site installation: All work performed at the customer nal site to set up and verify the printer is working
properly and ready for customer use. This includes: unpacking, inspection, assembly, FW upgrades, paper
loading, initialization, and network conguration.
