System board
NOTE: The system board spare part kit includes replacement thermal material.
All system boards use the following part numbers:
xxxxxx-001: Windows 7 or non-Windows operating systems
xxxxxx-601: Windows 10 operating system

Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1. Turn o the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 24).
5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 43).
6. When replacing the system board, be sure that the following components are removed from the
defective system board and installed on the replacement system board:
Solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 31)
WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 33)
Heat sink (see Heat sink on page 41)
Remove the system board:
1. Disconnect the following cables:
(1): Display panel
(2): Speaker
(3): Keyboard (backlight)
(4): Wireless antennas
(5): Keyboard (primary)
(6): Webcam
(7): Fingerprint reader
(8): NFC module
(9): ForcePad
