Allow the panel to extend past the rear of the server approximately 1.25 cm (0.5 in).
2. Push down on the latch.
The access panel slides to a closed position.
3. Tighten the security screw on the latch, if needed.
Remove the hot-plug fan
Procedure
1. Observe the following alert:
IMPORTANT: After removing a high-performance (dual-rotor) fan, install or replace the fan within 60
seconds. Otherwise, the server will shut down gracefully.
2. Do one of the following:
a. Extend the server from the rack (Extend the server from the rack on page 30).
b. Remove the server from the rack (Remove the server from the rack on page 31).
3. Remove the access panel (Remove the access panel on page 31).
4. Remove the fan.
