Using the secondary display
Use the secondary display to check the weather, open frequently-used apps, contact a friend, play
music, and more.
1. When the main display is off, lift the phone in portrait position or double-tap the secondary
display to turn it on.
2. Swipe left or right to navigate the secondary display. To customize the the types of content
shown on this display, see Secondary display settings on page 51.
3. You can:
§ Tap an icon to open an app, communicate with a contact, or turn on or off a phone
setting.
§ Open the default music app and then use the playback buttons to control music
playback.
§ Reply immediately to a message you've just received, when the main display is on, by
tapping
Reply.
§ When the main display is on, press and hold Create your own reminder to write a note
to yourself.
When the main display is off, you can only view the note you wrote.
Adding an app or contact
Quickly open apps and call or message friends using the secondary display.
1. On the secondary display, swipe left or right until you see
or to add a contact or app.
2. Do one of the following:
§ Tap and then choose the contact to add from the list.
§ Tap and then choose the app to add from the list.
§
To remove an app or contact, press and hold the app or contact, and then tap Remove from
secondary display.
§ To replace an existing app or contact shortcut, press and hold the shortcut, and then choose the
replacement from the list.
