Using the Touch Screen
Use touch gestures to move around the
screen, open menus, select items, zoom in
or out of web pages, and more. You can:
Tap—When you want to type on the
keyboard or select on-screen items, just
tap them with your finger.
Press and hold—To open the available
options for an item, just press and hold the
item.
Swipe or slide—Quickly swipe or slide
your finger vertically or horizontally across
the screen.
Drag—Touch and hold your finger to the
screen before you start to drag. While
dragging, do not release your finger until
you have reached the target position.
Flick—Similar to swiping, except that you
need to swipe your finger in light, quicker
strokes.
Pinch and spread—In some apps, spread
your fingers on the screen to zoom in. Pinch
the screen to zoom out.

Follow the on-screen instructions to quickly
set up your phone.

Lock Screen
Even when your phone is locked, you’ll never
miss what’s happening in your day. You’ll get
to choose and see notifications right on the
lock screen.
*A Subscriber Identity Module (SIM Card) is a “smartcard”
that houses personal information, such as your mobile
phone number, calling plan, account information, and
content, such as contacts, text messages, and call history.
The Verizon Wireless 4G SIM Card is compatible with
any Verizon Wireless 4G certified device. You can move
the 4G SIM Card from one device to another and your
wireless service will work seamlessly as long as you have
a compatible device and service plan. To see which devices
are compatible with the Verizon Wireless 4G SIM Card, visit
verizonwireless.com/certifieddevice.
Charging the Battery
1. Connect the phone to the AC adapter
using the USB sync cable.
2. Plug the AC adapter into an electrical
outlet to start charging.
When charging is complete, the notification
LED will change from red to green, and if
the phone is on, this icon displays in
the status bar.
Powering On/Off
Press the Power button to turn the phone on.
To turn the phone off, press and hold the
Power button until you see slide down
to power off on the screen. Swipe your
finger down the screen.
Installing/Removing the SIM Card*
If not already inserted, follow the instruc-
tions below to insert your 4G SIM Card.
1. With the phone facing up, insert the
tip of the SIM removal tool into the
small hole next to the SIM card tray
slot.
2. Push the tip all the way into the hole
until the SIM card tray ejects.
3. Pull the SIM card tray out, and place
the SIM card (contacts facing down)
into the tray.
4. Insert the SIM card tray back into the
slot.
NOTE: When removing the SIM card, make sure that you
insert the empty SIM card tray back into the slot.
